So I have to apologize for slacking in the blogging department lately. I will admit that this heat has really been distracting me and I am SO glad that today was a whole 17 cooler than the last two! I hope everyone is staying cool! By the way, is anyone else so happy that its Friday! I don’t really have any plans for the weekend, besides an amazing brunch planned for Sunday at the Screen Door Cafe, but I just love the “feeling” of the weekend. I honestly can not believe that tomorrow is August 1st already though, this summer is just flying by! I can’t believe its almost time to start thinking about back to school sessions and holiday sessions! Please keep reading the blog in the next few weeks because we have a TON of stuff coming up! Not only will we be doing another awesome holiday package with graphic designer Meysha Lovrien of Madrona Hill Collective (www.madronahill.com), but I will also be introducing a new Studio Christy Model Rep program this fall that I am super excited about! More details to come, but stay tuned
Before all that we have the Beach Sessions the 22nd of August (which by the way, if you haven’t signed up for yours yet you need to do it quickly!) coming up. I am really excited for them this year, I love shooting at the coast!
In the meantime, here are some shots from Isaac’s one year session from last weekend. We went to the beautiful Elk Rock Garden at The Bishop’s Close in Lake Oswego. Its an amazing little hideaway off Hwy 43 that I love to shoot at. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, and he was an excellent model, as always

This is a reminder that the session fee will change to $200 as of August 1st, 2009. You have until then to purchase any sessions at the current pricing of $150, and you can use these sessions anytime between now and the end of the year! So if you know you will be doing portraits in the late summer or fall for the holidays, make sure you get your session now to save a little $$!
So this past weekend my cousin brought her family down from Kennewick, WA to have their family portraits taken. This was a special occasion because she just gave birth on July 2nd to baby Onyx (sorry if I spelled this wrong Ash!). He was absolutely beautiful, and finally fell asleep for us at the end of the shoot. I am still working on those images, but I wanted to post a few of the ones I did of her older daughter, Eraya, because today is her 3rd birthday! She was such a cutie, and I just LOVE photographing her! She is very excited to be a new big sister, as you can see from the sweet gesture below
Happy Birthday Eraya!

We got to go up to beautiful Mount Tabor Park for this family’s portrait session. The two girls were great, they got really comfortable in front of the camera and had lots of fun goofing around together and climbing trees! They are both beautiful girls, and very photogenic. Here are few of my favorite images from their session…

This little girl was so funny to photograph because she loved to stick out her tongue! Every time she smiled! It was actually really cute, and her family was great to work with. I hope you like this sneak peek….
