Archive for August, 2010
I first met this client back in the spring when they were one of the first Groupon clients I go to work with. I got to do some fun portraits of baby Finn at their home, and take advantage of their great collection of vintage chairs! I was so excited when they said they wanted to do a beach session. Finn is growing so fast, and it was a great way to spend the afternoon at the beach!
I love doing sessions for people that I have worked with in the past. I get to see the kids grow and its like a little reunion. This summer is literally flying by, I can’t believe that we are in the middle of August. Here are some more sneak peeks of some recent sessions….
Anna and Owen: This shoot came at just the right time this summer. July was a pretty long and hard month for me, but this portrait session reminded me so much of why I do what I do and why I love it. We did this session out on their great-Grandma’s farm, where Mom spent most of her childhood playing and growing up. Not only was the land gorgeous, but the warm welcome I received by the whole family was very refreshing. I felt like I was a part of their family. And the warm piece of apple pie I received before heading home put it over the top
You know I can’t resist dessert! Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to their mom for being so kind and welcoming me into their lives for the afternoon.
Rydman Family: another great session on a farm. I personally love the images in the blueberry field
Maile: This is the little girl I had the privilege of nannying over the last two years. I still wish I was able to see her on a daily basis, I miss her! We did have fun at her session though!
Alison: I love all the cute hats mom found for this session! I can just see the cutest Christmas card with some of these!
This family has become a definite favorite over the last 2 years as I have photographed them multiple times and had such a blast at each of their sessions. I love watching these kids grow, and they just keep getting cuter and cuter. My favorite thing about this session was watching how older sister and brother were with their new brother Rowen. You can tell that these three are going to have a blast growing up together, and I hope that I can continue to capture moments like these in their childhood. Mom I know you wanted to focus on group shots here, but I had to include some individuals of Rowen because he is so adorable.
