Archive for January, 2012
Before I get to this post, I just have to send a reminder for our Boudoir event February 2nd. There are only 2 spots left now, so please contact me asap if you are wanting them! This is gonna be a great event, so stop debating on it and just sign up already!
When I found out that miss Nadine was expecting another baby, I was so happy for her and David (dad) and Addison (daughter). I was even more excited when she told me she was due in January. I immediately thought, maternity session in the snow. I love having a friend like Nadine who will entertain any of my interesting ideas for photo shoots, even when she is 9 months pregnant, freezing, and wearing fake fur. Now that’s a real friend. Thank you Nadine for putting up with me, I hope you will think it was worth it when you see these images
I know I sure am greatful, I love the images we were able to capture. And I can’t wait to meet miss Peityn when she arrives!
And yes, I know, there are a LOT of images on here. She delivers the baby tomorrow so I figured I should post before Peityn arrives
As you have probably figured out, we mainly photograph children around here. But every once in awhile, it is nice to do something different. For the past 5 years or so, I have occasionally photographed boudoir for clients and friends. I love it, it is fun and I love making someone feel beautiful in their own skin. With that said, I have decided to do a one-day only event for this Valentine’s Day. I am really excited because I have teamed up with the AMAZINGLY TALENTED Austie Eckley for hair and makeup (seriously, she is awesome!) for this event. You can check out all of the details below, and there are only 5 spots available for this event so make sure to book your session asap! This is not only a great gift idea for Valentine’s Day, but also think about birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding gifts
If you would like to see more samples of my boudoir work, please shoot me an email. Also, we are doing a few early appointments, for those of you who need to get to work or other things….
“Fast” can not even describe these twin toddlers. To be honest, I am shocked I was able to capture them in a couple camera frames where they weren’t blurry from zooming by. They had such fun personalities, and were loving playing and running around the studio. They are so happy, and their laughter was infectious. I especially loved the shots of them with their stuff cows, and doing yoga (see below)
I was so excited to work with this family again when I heard they were expecting their 3rd child in December. I got to first work with them last summer when we did some family portraits in the Pearl district. Their newest addition, Nico, came in December and he was just perfect for the photoshoot. They came into the studio with siblings and grandparents in tow, and Nico put up with all the twisting, posing and changing hands we did with him! I am excited to see this little guy get bigger, and work with his wonderful family in the future!
I love our studio. We are in a 100 year old craftsman style home in the John’s Landing neighborhood. It has so much space and character, and has been great for the studio. But one of the best things about the space is that I get to share it with awesome friends and fellow artists. It is a great little community, and makes me excited to get up and come to work in the morning. And now we are currently looking for one more person to join our group! We have a space opening up here at the Kelly House, and would love to have another artist or professional in here with us!
There are two options available for the space. I have attached a couple pictures below, if you are interested in getting more information please contact me at christy@studiochristy.com. We are looking to have someone in here soon, and would be happy to show the space in person if interested!
