Studio Christy

My passion for photographing children has grown a lot in the last 10 years, however I have shown an interest in photography since I was a kid myself. I took my first  photographs of children when I nannied for three adorable triplet girls: Katie, Maggie, and Sophie. It was then that I discovered my love for capturing the little day to day moments in a child’s life.  This only magnified when I became a mother myself.  My husband Kirk and I have three wonderful little ones, Willa (4) and twins Graeme and Vivian (2 years old).  They keep me on my toes when I am not photographing other families, and they have shown me how sacred having my own family portraits is.

My goal in photography is to capture the true moments when your child lets their personality shine. Whether that be them individually or with many siblings, I want to create an atmosphere that your child enjoys, loves, and want to be in. I shoot on location and in our natural light studio in Lake Oswego.  Either way, it is a location that is comfortable and inviting.  This allows your child to feel comfortable with me, and it allows me to create a relationship with you and your family.

I graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and emphasis in photography. I then attended the Aegean Center for Fine Arts in the fall of 2006 for a four month intensive study of the arts in Paros, Greece!
